After a visit to a pediatric ENT on Monday, Brother was scheduled to get tubes today. After a series of ear infections, the doctor told us tubes were our best solution.

Brother decided to get up at 5 this morning. I think he knew what was going on and was anxious to get started. At 6am, Mommy and Brother headed to the surgery center.

Brother was his normal smiley, happy self even though he had been up for a while and had not had anything to eat or drink since 8 last night. Here he is in pre-op. He wooed the nurse and flashed her his dimples to make sure he got great care.
Mommy had to put on this get-up in order to take Brother back to the surgery room. All he wanted to do was pull that blue cap off of her head. She definitely looks better without it! He started to get a little sleepy right before going back.
Mommy took him back, wiped away a couple of tears, went to the bathroom and then the doctor was out to tell her that Brother was all done and did great! It took less than 5 minutes! The doctor said Brother's ears has gotten worse since Monday and it was a good thing we did the surgery so soon. Next Mommy got to go hold him. He was screaming when she got back, but after some Mommy snuggles and a good nursing, he was feeling much better.
Leaving the surgery center..at 8:15 after a 7:45 surgery! Even faster that we expected!
I ran out to welcome Mommy and Brother when they got home.

By 9:30 Brother was back to his super smiley self and enjoying breakfast. We are so thankful for a successful surgery and hopefully no more ear infections!
